STEP 1

CLIENT BRIEFING MEETING

During the briefing meeting of up to 1 hour, we explore the client’s ideas, target market, aesthetic preferences and the practical scope of work - whether it’s a new brand launch, a collection development or a rebrand. We discuss timelines, budgets and production requirements to ensure we have a clear understanding of expectations and possibilities. It’s a collaborative and conversational process that sets the tone for a smooth, aligned and inspired project journey.



STEP 2

CREATIVE DIRECTION

In this stage, ODE Studios transforms the insights gathered during the briefing into a clear and compelling creative vision. We define the overall aesthetic, tone and visual language that will guide the entire project - from branding and design details to fabric choices and presentation. This involves creating mood boards, colour palettes and concept outlines that capture the essence of the brand and its market positioning. We explore styling influences, trends and brand storytelling elements to ensure the creative direction feels both original and strategically aligned. Collaboration is key here.

STEP 3

TREND FORECASTING

In this phase, ODE Studios dives deep into market research and global trend analysis to inform the creative direction and design development. Drawing inspiration from WGSN and other leading trend platforms, we study upcoming seasonal trends, colour stories, fabric innovations, silhouettes and consumer behaviour shifts relevant to our clients’ target markets. This process helps us identify emerging opportunities, ensuring each collection feels both current and future-focused. The result is a trend-informed foundation, guiding design choices that resonate with contemporary audiences while staying true to the brand’s unique identity.

STEP 4

MOODBOARDS

At this stage, ODE Studios translates the creative direction and trend research into a curated visual narrative. We create detailed moodboards that capture the aesthetic essence, tone and atmosphere of the project - bringing together references for colour palettes, textures, fabrics, silhouettes, styling and brand imagery. Each moodboard serves as a visual anchor, helping clients clearly see how abstract ideas come together into a tangible design vision. Inspired by both global trend sources and our deep understanding of local markets, we ensure the visuals strike a balance between aspiration and practicality.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

In the design development phase, ODE Studios transforms the creative concept into fully realised designs ready for production. This is where ideas take shape - literally. Using our technical expertise, we create detailed sketches, CAD drawings and garment specifications to ensure clarity and precision throughout the process. Leveraging our strong connections with trusted fabric suppliers and factories, we also assess material availability and production feasibility early on.

STEP 6

CAD DEVELOPEMENT

In this stage, ODE Studios transforms approved design concepts into precise digital representations through CADs. This process ensures every garment detail - from stitching and construction lines to fabric textures and colour variations - is accurately visualised and documented. Our team creates professional flat sketches and technical drawings that communicate the exact specifications required for sampling and production. These CADs serve as a vital bridge between design and manufacturing, helping factories and pattern makers clearly understand the designer’s intent. We focus on accuracy, consistency and presentation.

STEP 7

TECH PACKS

In this crucial stage, ODE Studios compiles all the design and technical information into comprehensive tech packs - the blueprint for garment production. Each tech pack includes detailed CAD drawings, fabric and trim specifications, colourways, measurements, construction notes and finishing details. This document ensures that factories, pattern makers, and production teams have a clear, standardised reference to accurately bring the designs to life.

Our team places a strong emphasis on clarity and precision, eliminating any ambiguity that could cause delays or miscommunication during sampling and production.

STEP 8

FABRIC AND TRIM SOURCING

At this stage, ODE Studios sources high-quality fabrics and trims that align with the brand’s creative direction, budget and production needs. Leveraging our strong network of local and international suppliers, we curate material options that balance aesthetic appeal with functionality and sustainability. We handle everything from identifying suitable textiles and finishes to coordinating samples and ensuring material availability for production. This step combines our industry insight with trusted supplier relationships, allowing us to deliver materials that elevate each design while meeting timelines and quality standards.

STEP 9

PRODUCTION

In the production phase, ODE Studios oversees the transition from development to manufacturing, ensuring every detail of the design is executed to the highest standard. We collaborate closely with our network of trusted local factories and production partners, coordinating sampling, fittings and full-scale production runs. Our team manages communication between the client and manufacturers, monitoring quality control, timelines and consistency across all garments. From initial prototypes to final delivery, we ensure that the creative vision is maintained while meeting practical requirements such as cost efficiency and scalability.
